Never expose the iRMC port directly to the public internet or standard corporate LAN. Place it on a dedicated, non-routable Management VLAN accessible only via secure VPN or administrative jump boxes. fujitsu irmc default password

Fujitsu transitioned away from static global passwords to mitigate supply chain and network vulnerability risks. The credential mechanism depends directly on the generation of your server hardware. Upon delivery or after a factory reset, every Fujitsu iRMC unit is configured with a single, default administrator account. This is outlined clearly in the official user guides for various iRMC generations.
⚠️ The username and password are case-sensitive for all iRMC generations. Never expose the iRMC port directly to the
To use these credentials, you need to connect to the iRMC hardware module.
The Fujitsu iRMC is an incredibly powerful tool for remote server management, but that power comes with significant security responsibility. The default admin/admin credentials provide initial access, but should remain active in a production environment. Treat the iRMC with the same security scrutiny as you would a firewall or hypervisor management console—isolate it, harden it, and audit it regularly.
☑️ Place iRMC interfaces on a dedicated, firewalled management VLAN. Do not expose iRMC to the Internet under any circumstances. ☑️ Role-Based Access Control: Create limited-privilege accounts for monitoring (e.g., monitor with only "User" privileges) and auditing (e.g., audit with "Operator" level). ☑️ Two-Factor Authentication (2FA): iRMC S6 and later support Time-based One-Time Passwords (TOTP). Enable 2FA for administrator accounts. ☑️ LDAP/Active Directory Integration: Centralize authentication instead of maintaining separate iRMC credentials. ☑️ Regular Auditing: Review iRMC system event logs (SEL) and internal event logs weekly for unauthorized access attempts. ☑️ SNMPv3: If monitoring via SNMP, use only SNMPv3 with authentication and privacy enabled. ☑️ Disable Unused Services: Turn off Telnet, HTTP, and any other protocols you don't require.
If the default password has been changed and lost, you may need to use the ServerView Installation Manager (SVIM)
